I have a 92 sc300. Trying to do an oil change. Problem. There is a plug on the pan where the drain Bol should be. I can pry at it with a flat head and oil drips out. What to do? Is there a plug to hold instead do a drain bolt?
Thanks in advance?
Is it like a rubber plug or metal plug? I am guessing someone stripped the threads out of the pan and used the plug for a quick fix. I would check to make sure the threads are still good in the pan, as if they are not, you may have to re-tap the pan so you can use a bolt. Any pictures would be super helpful as well.

Thanks for the reply, Im thinking what your thinking. I can't post pics because I'm usingy iPhone right now. But yeah it looks like a oversized radiator cap in place of the bolt. The pan looks beat up so I'm skipping the temporary fix and going to install
