Well i mean if i get a cheaper type of stainless steel over another, am i really going to be losing out on much? Im not worried about it looking nice and polished or anything since its under the car. I just want it to last and not fall apart.

Generally a stainless steel will last 2-3 times longer than mild steel. At least in this area anyway. I know out west the difference is much closer in terms of longevity.

A mild steel you can really only count on lasting 3 years before something starts to leak.

Yeah this weather really puts a beating on your car. Im definitely going with stainless steel mostly because of that.
