I would contact HKS directly. I would also check on the MKIV board. Logic would say it is the same as the turbo models but ??? Actually, you probably have the vane type AFM and the Supras probably use a MAF AFM.
I do agree that you should get a nice power gain from reducing the restriction before the compressor inlet. Have you dyno'd?
