Replaced cluster lights.. Looks like the same "burnt lights" are still out
Went through the DIY a few times to get comfortable with ripping my cluster apart and finally tackled it. I changed the lights to a blue smd led. Got everything installed and fired my sc excited to see my new bright blue cluster! But turned the car on to see what looked like a blue and black cheetah Anyone had this problem and solved it? It appears to be the same ares of my cluster that aren't on. Have a job interview in the morning but once I get home I'm going to take the cluster apart and test all the bulbs (went with cheap ebay ones... currently unemployed ) to double check all lights are working good
Thanks for any input guys

the bulbs have a positive and negative side. you more than likely put them in backwards. so take each one that isn't working back out and put it in the other way.
also it could be how the LED's are. you didnt supply us with pics so maybe you are experiencing the hot spots that normal led's seem to have unless you buy the directional 4 sided led bulbs which look and fill the cluster better?

After a few hours of fiddling with it it is finally done.. still need to find some cluster needles though! I read somewhere the either es300 or ls400 has needles with will work and are less prone to flickering and dying? Gonna poke around the forum again.. Most of the bulbs were like you guys said, just in backwards but one of the "sockets" wasn't contacting the board all the way so I had the cluster apart and together a few times before figuring out the problem. Thanks for all the help guys! Love the support on this forum
