i just bought this sc300 and the blinkers and hazards are not working. the previous owners said it was broken into and the radio was stolen and after that it stopped working. i have seen people asking if the center console was disturbed in other posts. everything looks good but why is that important? my main problem is im trying to find a wiring schematic so i can arrange all the wires accordingly and maybe find the correct wires to poke at. the pictures show some bizarre wiring. one picture shows just a bundle of wires that are taped off using masking tape. they have pin acceptors like they go into a plug but there is nothing in sight. another pic shows a random grey plug i found laying below everything that wasnt plugged into anything but i cant find where it goes either. another pic shows a stripped wire that goes from 2 brown wires and was wrapped around the black and white wires going to the hazard switch. it was held on with loose shrink wrap. the other pic shows how the radio was cut and removed. any info is appreciated even if i get this fixed in bits and pieces i just want to get it fixed. the main thing i was is a wiring diagram/schematic. thanks
Pic 1 - Top plug (only one left) is the hazard plug and long as that is plugged in it SHOULD work. The rest of the plug wires are for the volume and shouldn't affect the other functions. Make sure the wires from that plug go back properly and are not cut.
thanks OLT... i got the hazard plug plugged in with everything else off so im trying to follow the wires to see if anything went wrong. its just so hard to see where all the wires go since everything was so dis-organized.
Also, these wires are nothing they are just the aftermarket adapter plug for the radio that doesn't belong in the car in the first place, you can just unplug this and set this plug aside for a rainy day incase you go back with an aftermarket deck. That's power for the radio.
ok i defenitely get it now. thanks a ton i guess he had something else plugged into the hazard switch. now its time to source a plug from a junk yard i suppose. and i just downloaded a complete 4000 page manual from a file share site i hope it helps. thanks again.
and just because I can't leave well enough alone......... here's the hazard and the pinouts incase you wanna use flat pin connectors from radio shack to try and DIY the pinouts.
