I bought a '95 SC 400 about two months ago and the dealership I bought it at installed NAPA brakes. They are very noisy. When I had it in the Lexus dealer for the 60K service I was told they could cause the rotors to warp from heat build up. The Lexus dealer, here in Louisville, wanted over $300 to replace the two front pads with Lexus pads. The dealership I bought it from is surprisingly going to install Lexus pads for me. Has anyone had bad luck with aftermarker pads? When I need new brakes again will it be worth the expenditure of around $600 to replace all the pads? Thanks for any advice.
from my experience dealers tend to charge you more anyway for whatever part it is. i once asked the dealer about the oem wing and they asked for 500, i wound up getting one from spoier depot for about 250 painted and im happy with it.
anyway, no. 600 is like earlier said, an insane price
600 sounds a bit much. I think Lexus did my read brakes for 200 total. I forgot what they replaced now but 600 sounds like waaay too much. After taking my car to the dealership for a tune up I would never take it to the dealership ever again. I just cant trust them and they over charge for EVERYTHING.

I have NAPA brake pads on my car. No problems. Then again, I paid $80 per set. [Edit: per axle] Did labor myself. The guy told me, they're the same pads as for the NA Supra.
Look forward to a "DIY: Changing Brake Pads" article on CL in the coming days. I will show the rear brakes being changed, which are slightly different from the front brakes, but the process is about the same give or take a caliper. So in the future you can change all four of your brakes for about $70 and a couple hours of time.
You might want to add that the same bolts that hold the calipers to the mounting bracket can be used to pull the rotors off the hub.
If you look on the rotors right around the hub, there are two holes that are tapped with threads. The two bolts holding the caliper to the caliper mounting bracket fit this thread and can be used to pull a stubborn rotor off the hub.
