Ummmm, I have no idea what the hell that is welded on there. Unless it was some kind of weird sequential setup. Crack open the case and do some fiddling around.

Lol. That looks to be some sort of short shift mod but with....... It looks like a thermostat housing of some sort.
I've been thinking how to do a short shift on my own and my plan is something similar to this set, but less janky

Almost looks like the bottom half of one of those bolt on short shifters like Ikeya makes. I didn't think those required welding.

car was lost to state and they auctioned the car then the guy didnt know how to get it to run with the jdm motor so he parted it and it didnt have a shifter. i have heard short throw and short shifter and ford shifter and chevy shifter and even volkswagen? i do not have any clue. again ill be happy to replace it with the stock supra retainer. i made a shifter to fit the sc300 and use the mk3 housing.

supra housing wont work on your SC anyway. you will need to chop and extend it. buy a early model soarer one and get a swan shifter.

I would get the Soarer parts like Biggu said. That way the thing will fit in your car without issues and the shifter movement and position won't be compromised. I bought mine from Champion Toyota.

These should be the part numbers you need.

Housing, Shifter (33521-24040)
Control Shift Lever (33570-24010)

i just want a cheap mk3 retainer(housing) i talked to mike at champion and those parts are to expensive. i have a custom shifter that will work with supra housing and fit sc.

I guess no one knows what shifter is welded to this r154?
looks like i will cut it off and mill it and attempt to put pins into the housing too. i guess the guy b4 knocked them out.
