Got the base plate mounted and all lined up. It is perfectly flat front to back and side to side according to level. The one piece attached to the rear fender is just a brace for the mounting plate. Really didn't need it but I figured it couldn't hurt anything. The brace is liquid nailed to the fender. Carpeted with some leftover black trunk liner carpet I had just to make it look nice. You won't ever see it though. Distribution block is mounted too. I'll have the rack in this weekend. Waiting on a couple of parts.

Radar detector installed. I was going to mount display in ashtray but changed my mind. I like having the door closed on ashtray better. Display is in good location now. Main module mounted under drivers side dash. Reciever mounted in grill in the middle. Install was very easy.

Thanks guys. A lot of work still left to do. Motors for Tein controller came today, they were back ordered for awhile. Going to tackle that this week along with starting the port chamber under the rear deck lid. Lots of plans and not enough time.

I've been doing some work to the drivers side door for the 6-1/2. Pulled the pods as they wouldn't line the speaker up how I wanted. I ended up cutting sheet metal all the way to the window track and then installing a piece of 1/4" HPDE in the opening. Everything was sealed up and more deadener added. This almost allows the speaker to fire directly through the factory grill. This is as good as it gets without messing with the window track. More work to be done and I'll post pics later but here's an idea of what I did versus the alignment with the factory pod. The new set up moved the speaker down about an inch and over to the left about and inch and a half. Hard to tell in the pics but it's done.

The radar detector placement is clever- I think I'm going to need to use that. The car looks like it's coming along well. I hadn't been on here in a while and the first thread I opened, first pic, had the garage mahal in it. What a collection- you're lucky to have that car!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have a ton of little projects going on in this car. Stay tuned for more pics. Adding battery to trunk, finish deadening doors, etc....... It never stops.
