Default Just ordered some cams :D

So I just ordered myself a belated christmas present... a set of kelford cams for my 1uz. Tomorrow I'll be ordering some headers to go with the cams. Anyways the reason I'm posting is to find out who the best installer in Houston would be. Personal recommendations and hearsay from friends works. Thanks, as soon as I get them installed I'll do before and after vids of the sound and if I can get some dyno time before and after I'll get some numbers.

nice!! hope everything goes well on the install! can't wait to hear your review on the cams. are you planning to do the install together or one at a time so you can gauge the effects of each mod?

I'll probably put the headers on first since it will be about a month before i get the cams. one more thing I forgot to mention earlier is that I will be swapping in a 5 speed soon. I've had all the parts laying around for a year and i have a few days to do it soon. I'll have pictures of that too.

good luck with the mods, man. i myself have about half the parts for my 5 spd swap and its been almost a year since starting to gather. i wish i could just buy everything at once and find the time to do it! looking forward to see how those cams perform.

I'd like to see this as well, even though I'm about to get rid of the 400 and pick up a 300.

I've got a set of IMF headers brand new in box of you're interested

Puttin in the five speed, cams, and the headers will wake up the V8. The torque will be alittle quicker or noticeably quicker in the gas pedal. I wanted to go this route, but I decided to do the swap instead. GL with your build and keep us posted on the progress.

Thanks everybody, if i have time the transmission will be going in next week. To 1992lexus, a few years ago when I was but a wee youngling many people told me it would be cheaper to swap. All those people saying I was crazy for wanting to put money into the 1uz gave me the inspiration to build my motor. Eventually, when more money comes along, I want to swap for a 2uz block then bore and stroke it. then either go with itb's or a whipple( possibly a kenne bell). but thats a long time (and a lot of money) away from now. Thanks again for the kind words everybody.
