Default Built Auto Trans

Hey guys, I browsed around, but didn't find what exactly I was looking for. I am aiming to buy an SC300 in the next couple months to do a 2JZ-GTE build simply as a fun street car, with occasional trips to the drag strip. I would like the car to be automatic in order to get consistent times in the 1/4. I know the stock auto tranny is rather weak and can not hold much more power than the SC already makes. So, as far as I know there are 3 options I have.

1. Build the stock SC300 auto trans (Clutch packs, etc...enlighten me)
2. Build Supra TT trans (requires other additional things like driveshaft?)
3. Buy an already built Supra Auto trans (BoostLogic is the main shop for this from what I've seen)

Any info you guys share will be helpful. I hope to actually join the Lexus club soon!

How much power are you trying to get .. The turbo tranny can handle about 400whp..like mentioned the th400 would work and is a beast or boostlogic/titan motor sports..but depends how muchpower you're looking for

I don't really have a power goal, but I want the peace of mind knowing that my car can handle what I throw at it.

Thanks for the heads up. Boost Logic's built auto is cheaper though.

Get a power goal then search around. Otherwise u could over build ur motor and not have the tranny to handle it

This is very true, ATF has billet parts that they make as well as other things but no real compairison however as others have stated you need a power goal to figure out which trans is best for you.

put a SC400 one, shift kit, bigger cooler and lextreme converter. IPT performance transmissions sell some kits to built them too.
That´s cheap and should work, idk if your driveshaft will fit thoe.
