Default My SC300

Hey just wanted to create a place for specific questions about my car/progress and to post pictures of my sc experience.

Car: 1994 Sc300 5 speed w/ tan interior
Mods:
Full 3in exhaust from headers w/ vibrant ultra quiet resonator. (if anyone needs welder in Minnesota, let me know)
2004 es330 17' rims
pre 97 sc400 lip(not installed)

I plan on doing turbo, paint job, interior, 6 speed... all of it once im done with college haha. But before then, coilovers.

A few pics of my baby (sorry, resized in paint)

Good to see another TIG welder on here.

What color do you plan on painting it?

As for the color, either black or white.. im leaning towards white cause i love how white looked on my bmw.. i just gotta get 97+ rear bumper/sides and side skirts then ill be ready for paint job if money permits.. im thinking about doing all my prepping and having a shop do my paint & clear coat. and maybe reassembly... what do u guys think?

Looks like a good base car to build from.

Just a question on your exhaust: So you have 3" piping from the headers back with 1 resonator, no cats? I didn't know that worked on N/A cars-- I mean obviously you can do it-- I just thought 3" was turbo territory.

Just wondering what the reasoning is behind 3" on an n/a 2jzge-- I've thought of doing that too, just a little unsure. Thanks!

Yeah I have full ss 3in piping.. I upgraded my exhaust cause it was leaking and rusted up like hell, so i just had the whole thing done since it would require all that to be taken off. Honestly my reasoning behind just the resonator is it was cheaper on me since i'm a college student who also wants to go turbo in next few years. I'm look for 400whp dd goal for this car..

As for the back pressure, having piping all the way to the back of the car on a 6 cyl is plenty pressure. I haven't had any problems with the motor(knock on wood).
I gained ALOT of power from this set up and not only on the top end. I can notice power on launch too.

Hell yeah man!

You need to join JDM Chicago (it's a forum... Google it). All the shows, meets, and gatherings are always posted on there. Most of the shows and meets have a very good turnout.

As for Lexus only meets... there's a Chicago section on this forum. That's the place to go to see what meets are going on. I haven't been to a Lexus meet in a while here. We had a few good ones years ago, but not any that I can recall recently.
