Hello, i hae a 1993 Lexus SC300 and my door will not open up from the outside. When i opened up the door panel i noticed that the metal bar is snapped into two. the metal bar is attached to the inside of the outer door handle. i know if it wasn't broken i could buy a cheap plastic piece to fix it!!! what is the name of the part that the metal bar is attached too. i have heard door lock actuator and door lock assembly but am not sure and do not want to buy a part for hundreds of dollars i cannot return. So if anyone has any knowledge of the part i could really use the help. A part number would really be helpful!!! just not sure what i need to buy and is there any good site to buy used parts? my LCD screen which controls the climate control is blacked out. i was looking at lextech.org but cant seem to find if they will send me the piece or expect me to send them my old unit to be fixed? ANOTHER QUESTION, THE STOCK 12 DISC CD changer does not turn on until i change the CD myself. does anyone know why this is occuring? also when i choose a song it skips either to another song or a couple minutes into the song i chose. im going to buy a new head unit if i cannot figure out the problem. I heard the stock supra control arms work for the Lexus sc300 and was hoping for some help with that too. does anyone know where i could get them cheap. the toyota dealer around me swears it doesnt work and wont let me return them. the ones from lexus are $500 each!!! The help would really be appreciated as my car just seem to keep breaking faster than i can fix it. just did valve cover gasket, timing chain, water pump, tune up and heater control valve. my car only has 86,000 on it and is a pleasure to drive.
