'92 SC300 Auto Tran O/D light will occasionally flash while driving. Intermitttent. Manual says take it to Dealer ASAP...but when I set appointmennt it stops flashing. Must know I'm taking it to the Doctor.

I assume it's electronic...but who knows? Anybody have similar experience or know what this is about?

Love my SC....owned for 20 years with 194k miles.

 

its something to do with the transmission when the O/D light does that. shift solenoid usually

 

Does it flash when it's turned on(light should normally be off)? If so, it's the shift solenoid.

 

Can be anything, read the codes to see if any are present. Torque converter slipping also throws a flashing code.
