For those that missed my prior threads I picked up a headache edition 93 sc300. After driving it twice the water pump blew nearly into 2 pieces car got hot and my head gasket gave up the ghost...tore it apart and found the head was warped and the valves were toast. Today after new gaskets, headbolts, starter, alternator, water pump, serpentine and timing belts she runs. It's about time I get to enjoy my daily lol

Same issue I had on a 95, only I didn't blow it up. Found it easier to replace then motor than just the head. Just my opnion?

 

You replaced the whole motor rather than the head? Dedication. I wouldn't pull the motor unless I destroyed it and had funds for a gte lol. the straight 6 makes it not so bad to pull apart.
