Default Water Leaking From Sun Roof?

Whats up everyone? I've been browsing around for quite some time and decided to join.

Any way, I drive a 96 sc300 I love my car to death I got it a couple months ago. I learned how to fix my passenger door and steering wheel from the DIY tutorials on here. Great site.

Well here's my problem water has been leaking from my roof, specifically where the lights are. Anyone experienced this problem and is willing to help a noob out? It would be greatly appreciated. I want to fix it before the rain really starts coming down.

The seal is gone.

I have a friend who just picked up a 94 SC400 for $500 because the Sunroof leaked, froze the shifter assembly, owner thought it was junk and gave it to a junkyard.

WD40's the shifter assembly, voilah Running SC400 again.

So yeah, buy a seal!

Welcome to Club Lexus!

From what I recall from my old Soarer with sunroof there was a tube around that area as well, check to see if it is all blocked up with gunk.

theres 2 tubes. one on each side, it runs down the A Pillar so to speak - mine was clogged up andwater overflows on one side causing it to drop downinside but only sometimes through the lights.

I just took an air compressor ad blow the crap otut the holes.. (not sure if it was a GOOD idea) but it seems to be working fine now
