You are correct sir but this system is sick.

What I'm planning on doing is swapping the 6 speed A761e and use the IS350 ecu and true paddle shift steering wheel. I'm actually shocked that I still haven't even seen an IS350 or IS250 steering wheel in an SC300 or SC400. Those steering wheels are dope!

For those of you who have JZ powerplants you can just use an a650 out of an is300 and, again, piggyback an is300 ecu. You'll need the entire ecu since the transmission ecu is built into the the main ecu. This route requires a lot of electrical and wiring know-how but in the long run will be much easier. Also, as mentioned before, a stand-alone trans ecu could be used also.
That sounds like a lot of work and wiring.

I never consider a w58 because of my goals
so, say the transmission is 300, quantum-auto kit's 1100, total is still roughly $2400 vs. $1200 for the suprastick. Again, the w58 doesn't include professional installation, if required.
Does the true manual justify double the price? I believe THAT is the true question.

Always make room to grow or you will hate yourself. Make a goal and 3 months down the road you are unhappy and getting smacked on by civics. R154 and you will always be good unless you loose your mind and go for 1K lol.

I swear to god if someone puts a paddle shifter on a stock SC400 they should have their car set aflame.

Hooray for ingenuity! That's what makes us gearheads great, is our ability to mess and fiddle around- and to celebrate when we get it right, and fix it when it goes sideways.

Well, I just wanted to let the OP know there are cheaper options to manual swaps. As for 5spd vs E-shift or paddle. Yes, to me it's worth it for SC400. Unless you swap to a real semi-auto trans, The e-shift system on lexus leaves a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong, I still like it, but it's not great. At the end of the day it's still an automatic with the option to down shift 1 or maybe 2 gears down while driving, if the ECU allows it. It's better than auto, but nowhere near manual!

Cheaper options for a manual swap? Please elaborate.

W58's are a lot cheaper over R154.
