Question Clearcorners again......

I know this topic has been done to death but i have one real quick question for those who have made their own clear corners. I made my own awhile back and rushed to make them and they came out ghetto to say the least. so i've recently redone them and the one thing i got to know before i start glueing stuff is this, Are u guys using the smooth side of the acrlic plastic on the outside or the inside??

the first time i made them i used the smooth side on the outside and the rough pointy side i applied the glue and I think that was my downfall b/c there were all these gaps b/w the plastic and the housing of the light. So if any of u could tell me how u did it, i'd really appreciate it.

smooth side on the outside and I carefully sanded down a few of the points to make a closer fit, used a combination of a little glue to hold it on and then silicon to seal it.

I dont think anyone put the points on the outside.

I pretty much used a box cutter to get it close and then filed it down until it was close enough.

Box cutter eh? Nice! I used scissors and wire cutters the first five tries , and finally a dremel. I need to redo mine because there's some residual orange plastic stuck on the edges.
