Climate Control lighting and cigarette lighter
No the fuses blow as a fail safe to prevent you frying things. if the 15 is the correct amp then do not go to 20. Instead fix the problem causing the fuse to blow. its likely metal on metal contact because of the tabs in the lighter socket being bent...could be bare wires touching too
Start in the fuse box in the kick area near the pedals it literally take 2 mins to check them all. U generally will get a fuse tester if you buy the multipack of fuses. If none there r bad check the box in the engine bay, but I doubt u will have to go that far.
This is so weird, I just put a new radio in my car today, have the same problem with the AC back light, I came on here and it is the first thread I see....Dunno, big brother must be watchin "heheheh" I had the problem with the back light on the radio going out, but the AC back light was still working, which is part of the reason for the new radio. Now I change the radio, and the AC light goes out...I will check those fuse tomorrow and report back.
I checked all the fuse on the driver side Kick panel, and only the ST 7.5 amp fuse above the cig fuse does not have a charge. I took the fuse out and inspected it and it seemed ok "not blown". The Cig fuse is OK. Any particular fuse in the engine bay I should pay attenting to when testing?
Whats is that ST 7.5 amp fuse for?

checked everything, no coin in cig lighter, seems all fuses are good. i had a fuse light tester, and came unto a weird situation, while checking the fuse with the tester on drivers side under dash, fuse number 11, (RRFOG) 7.5A, the fuse did not light up my testers light. took the fuse out and put it in another spot randomly and it lite up the tester. but still can't fix this problem with my unit
This could be a bit of a bum steer (only because it's been so long since I did this - and I don't quite remember if it was my Integra or my SC400 that gave me the issue), but pull your entire center consol apart and look for a tiny metal lead in the area of the cig lighter.
Mine had been fried by me using a cig lighter powered air compressor. I ended up soldering the connection back and haven't had a single problem since. I also never again plugged in another air compressor to that lighter.

hey guy i some what figured out my problem, i replaced the temp ecu on the passenger side under dash, its a blue box., everything works and all buttons are responsive now., but i have no air coming out, doesnt matter what speed or mode i set it, no air, seems like the blower motor is dead, any idea ??? thanks
My problem is actually not related to the cigarette lighter... I think something has shorted out altogether. I got my cigarette lighter working again... it was unplugged from when I guess I installed the head unit, but my climate control backlighting is still all out as well as the lighting for the fan speed. Seems like a grounding issue, but I can't seem to pinpoint it.
