Climate Control lighting and cigarette lighter
So I've done some searching on here, but I couldn't find anyone with the exact problem I'm having. After installing my head unit, I noticed that my climate control backlighting doesn't work. The lights for the buttons themselves work, but the lights for the LCD screen don't come on. Thank goodness the heater and A/C work, I just have to turn on the interior light to be able to see the LCD at night.
With this, I've also noticed my cigarette lighter doesn't work. Are these two related? Could the cigarette lighter fuse be related to the backlighting of this climate control panel? The other problems I've seen were similar to mine, except their entire A/C and heater system didn't work. My car is a 98 SC 300.

Yeah, the one that says CIG on the back of the fuse panel. I pulled and looked at it, and it wasn't blown. Any other fuses it could be?
It may be that I didn't plug the cigarette lighter back in after installing my head unit, but what could be the cause of the climate control backlighting not working. All the bulbs worked perfectly before, but now none of them light up.

Alright guys, I'm having the same problem but another problem arises. I change the 15 amp fuse but it blows every time... What's causing this? Can I go to a 20 amp safely?

No the fuses blow as a fail safe to prevent you frying things. if the 15 is the correct amp then do not go to 20. Instead fix the problem causing the fuse to blow. its likely metal on metal contact because of the tabs in the lighter socket being bent...could be bare wires touching too
