Off the line, should I hav o/d off, or wait until after 3rd?

start w/ OD off,... in M1, hit 2nd,... D,...and after finishing 4th if you're still on it....hit OD.... MAXIMIZE YOUR GEARS!!!

Leave OD off if you're trying to race from a stand still, turn it back on when you're just cruising. Gate shifting isn't healthy and doesn't improve performance in my experience.

OD off, A/C off, ECT in PWR, shifter in 2.

Left foot on brake, revs to 2000 stall, brake off & jam it.

The V8 will shift at 6250, then will run to 6600 (revlimiter) in second, so ease into D at 6500, gets you to 3rd a little higher in the power curve.
