i regret selling my SC
so in july i sold my awesome 99 silver SC300 5speed (some of you all may have seen my thread to fix the 98+ CEL) to buy a local guy's 240sx/RB26 project and complete it. i basically had to make the entire wiring harness, get it running, and put a lot of time into cleaning up the shell and lots of other small things.
this thing is rowdy fast even at low boost (probably 300whp@8psi) but i really just want my SC back!
i think my only hope to get another SC is to trade, but it seems that no one in the lexus community wants a 240. not even a fast one. lol.

how does a inline 6 car compare in such a light car? it doesnt feel smooth anymore does it? just feels snappy and fast
im sure you could sell that s13 and ****** up another SC if you really wanted to give up a car with so much more aftermarket support.... thats the only reason i want a s14 personally... i myself wouldnt go back to a s13 unless it had a kouki front conversion haha

Ooooh, its a coupe. At least it has that going for it Most SC guys don't want to drive a 240 because of the stigma. Something about the sideways hat, shocker stickers, and bad body kits put them right up there with Honda kids I guess. Yes, it's a generalization, but like the Honda one, it tends to be true more often than not.
Why in the world did you trade a good running SC for a project 240? I thought the whole point was reliable transportation for school or something?

this thing is like a gokart compared to the 1jzvvti SC i had last year... it has about 30-40 more whp, and weighs about 700 lbs less. that's a huge difference. the engine and everything is still smooth, but not as smooth as the SCs i've had.
this thing would be perfect for someone who is a little younger and wants to turn the boost up and have a solid 350whp 2800lb car. i think i just enjoyed my SCs better as all-around cars.

^ i think you dont like being seen in your 240 as much as your sc... something about driving the SC feels good haha idk!
i think a lot of the SC crowd came from the s-chassis and they feel like it was a step forward and they dont want to take a step back but i think the s-chassis is a perfect platform for anything you want to do with whether it be speed or looks and can all be done relatively cheap due to so much aftermarket support. which is another reason why SC guys feel better, bc when you get a new part on your SC it was a hard find or a expensive buy haha
but hopefully within the next few years SC's start getting more and more aftermarket brands making stuff for it... i personally wouldnt care if everyone had one that would just mean more parts laying around
