Default Age versus miles

Someone here speculated that these SC's suffer more from advanced age than high miles. I totally agree. My 92 has 68,000 verified miles. Panel backlight out. AC backlight out. Mirror dimming fubar. Left it out in rain, fogged headlight. CD changer fubar. Hole in side bolster of driver seat. Hole in corner of lower seat surround. Driver seat feels hard.

On the lucky side, SO FAR, no problems with PS pump, motor/trans mounts, needles, door hinges, power windows. Except for the needles, those might be higher mileage problems.

Based on my sample of one, do not think buying a low mileage SC will avoid the electrical gremlins. Good thing I did not overpay. You might be better off buying one with higher mileage that has had all the problems occur and been repaired. Any thoughts on that theory?

I've thought about this and I agree too. It makes sense though.

Unless the car is hardly ever used, it's going to wear out over time.
