Default Got two question for you guys

1)
I lowered my car about 2" and wondering how you guys get alignment done? I read somewhere up here that alignment shop can adjust camber and stuff with all stock suspension arms and stuff. I asked the alignment shop but they say they couldn't. Please let me know.

2)
Another question is why my windows roll down normally but when I roll them up, they roll up really slow. Is it my window regulators going out?

This is how she sit now:

I got answers,

Alignment shop that can't camber/toe, etc is not a alignment shop, go somewhere else.

For the windows going up slowly, possible your motor is weak

Its not that they cant adjust it, what your mechanic is trying to say is there is only so much adjustment the stock suspension allows for. What you have done is lowered the car so much that they have run out of room for any more camber adjustment.

you can

a. live with it and buy tires every 10kmiles or less
b. raise the car up enough for them to get it in spec
c. buy yourself a camber correction kit that will allow for more camber adjustment over stock

as 93msb said, it's not that they "can't", but they can't adjust enough, or won't take the liability "if" something happens.
it's *similar* to when they won't align a car because some minor maintenance thing (such as an almost-bad tie rod, or ball joint). Yes, not the same, but from a liability standpoint it is, according to a buddy who once worked at as shop that frequently would refuse alignments on cars that were very not-stock.

2 inches isn't much. You can get in aligned well enough not to replace tires every 10k. Take it to another shop. The first shop I took mine to said the same thing.

what are you lowered on? The factory stuff can only go so far. If it's just a slight negative camber, it shouldn't have too much effect on tires but if it's too much negative, then you're gonna have to flip the tires every so often.

Everything's pretty much said. I had the same problem when I tried to get an alignment before and my SC only have like an inch drop. So I thought these guys(the alignment guys) are really bogus for not being able to do it... Then I found a shop like an hour and a half away that loves SC's and very good at aligning lowered cars...

ive learned to do alignments on my own so i dont need to pay to have them done but sears, sts or places like that should be able to get your car back into specs with the stock arms.

on a side note your car looks good with the height u just need a spacer now
