I wanna go lower!
Hey guys! I've been searching alot lately about going lower, and most of the threads are from long ago, it seems alot of people that have lower set ups nowadays have coilovers but I wanna do it with just shock and springs until I'm ready for coilovers. What I have right now is Tokico shocks with Eibach something springs which lowers the front by an 1inch and the rear by 2inches(I think it was cut by the previous owner). Oh yeah, this have been the setup when I got the car. I do plan on getting coilovers put on but not in the near future. The front looks real awful for me, although the rear is "getting there". According to previous threads the lowest springs I can get that is made specifically for our SC's are the Espelir ASD. Then upon searching I found out that the MKIV Supra/Supra TT (I'm not sure what the difference is between the two) shock and spring set up is a direct fit to our SC's and we don't even need to modify anything. So I did another research and I saw that alot of Supra springs can go lower and some as low as coilovers can. Although, alot of the threads say that if you go with Supra lowering springs I need to use Supra shocks as well? If it's a direct fit to our SC's why wouldn't it fit my Tokico blue shocks? Can anybody shed light on this? And if there's any other alternative that I can go with right now that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg but still can get my SC lower what would be it? Here are some pics of my SC. (I'm sorry about the pics, I lost the better pics from my old laptop.) I wanna go lower of about 2-3inches more front and 1.5inches more rear.
A Gixxer-Drew setup might be what you're looking for

Everyone that has it swears by it. It gives you a little drop but not as much as say PBM coils haha
And yes everything spring and shock wise from the Supra is compatible with the SC. The supra's suspension is a little lower though so anything you get for the supra will drop your SC even more.

buying new struts and springs is a waste of money if you want coilovers trust me...you can get a nice set of BC,Ksport,MEgan streets...etc for under a grand almost as much as struts/spring combo will cost you. I would not recomend PBM i know Future SC swears by them but they are not made for street driving really...its more of Drift set up...very stiff spring rates that will make your stomach drop. IF youre into that kind of thing go for it.

So for the TT struts/springs set up, can I just use the TT springs but still use my Tokico blue shocks for it? Or do I have to get TT shocks also? Because my whole aim is to get it lowered a few more inches for $300 until I get my coils put on. So it's only temporary. Ooooorrr, can I just get my existing front springs cut? How much of a difference will it make in the ride? Because right now, if I pass through a nasty speed bump without slowing down it bottoms up on me. Y'know what I'm saying, I need to go sideways to be able to run it over without it bottoming up on me.
It's actually RPM R-505, staggered.

If you want 20s, get coils. You can mess around with the ride height until you get it dialed in to where it looks right with the wheels. And you said you can deal with the current ride height, so honestly, deal with it, for now. Save up for a good set of coilovers. That's $300 saved right there from not having to buy springs.
