Thank you guys! The pictures and information help a lot. I actually do fold my mirrors sometimes and I'd hate to lose that functionality. If I can't repair it I will probably just order a new one soon.

Happened to me as well, was washing the car and found the mirror to be loose. I rigged it for the time being.

Had one of those too! 91 Si HB w/JDM front with a LS swap...currently 95 Si HB all original, 134k on the clock.

oh i see what hes talking about. i've fixed one and im with OLT it wouldve been much better to liquid nail it unless your painting your car:

strip down your mirror as mentioned above:

-remove five screws around mirror
- take front cover off
-finagle mirror out
-remove motor assembly

youre down to this:

flip side:

then you manage to remove this spring and clip ( about as easy as kissing chuck norris in the mouth and making him think its not gay) with vice grips if youre strong as the hulk.

or an assortment of nuts, a long bolt, and washers as i did.:

reinstall on new mirror in opposite order. If anyone needs the springs and clips i have them for sale. lmk
