Something about ebay lights, headlights and taillights just look like they are cheaply made. They have too much shine, and they POP too much because they are so reflective. So right away they look out of place, especially on a 10+ year old car that has faded and peeling paint.
Tell the truth: even Altezzas don't look good with their own lights. They suck that badly.

Altezza:

Not Altezza:

Altezzas have a huge expanse of chrome and clear plastic. The ebay lights commit the mortal sin of having clear plastic. Would frosting the inside make them acceptable to the masses?

Hell, part I hate most about the rear of my car is the gold emblems. I plan to polish away the gold using a dremel & chrome polish and I already have a new SC400 emblem to install.

Yup. I agree. I'm in the process of getting rid of my eBay headlights that were on my car when I bought it. OEM FTW. It's a Lexus, treat her like a Lexus, not a Civic.

Do the people over in the GS section raise hell when somebody replaces the pink faded stock brake lights with a set of aftermarket LED tails? It looks 1000x times better but it isn't OEM!

Ebay headlights suck for every car, and not really because of production quality. They all have poorly-designed projectors that don't put nearly enough light onto the road.

And don't treat them like Civics? You mean slammed with fart cans? There's far more of that around this place than there are aftermarket tails. As long as we're going to poke at people we might as well hit 'em all!
