The link is the last page which includes a pic of the wire. This isn't a magic cure but it does prevent the transmission from purposely slipping to reduce the power to the wheels. It's a win for you (power) and a win for the transmission (less heat & wear).
I would not do this mod until your car is driving properly. It throws a code (no CEL though) and that may make it harder to diagnose any trans issues you actually have.
