Default Engine compartment color? Parts?

Some of you may know that I am in the middle of building my 1UZ. While I have it apart, I possibly wanted to paint some parts such as throttle body, intake manifold, valve covers, misc.plastic parts, etc. I want some thoughts and possible pictures of other peoples ideas and color schemes. I am not going to paint the actual engine bay, just the parts. Any color scheme would be great. I have a pearl white car. Thanks

I suggest polishing everything, if you wan to take the time, and do it.
takes a bit of work, but the end product usually looks really nice.

comparison of parts after and before polishing:

Polish ftw...I polished by hand my upper intake mani, throttle body, water bridge, intake pipe and both valve covers on my 1uz. I now have them off to re do it to a mirror finish. Its def worth it!!

Get them powder coated. the finish will look much better than any paint u decide to get. Its a lil more pricey but its definitely worth it. look for a cheap powder coater on craigslist or something

I really appreciate the ideas.. I think I like the idea, but what is the best way to do it, or method? I also like the fact of painting some of the lower parts, just to make it look a little more appealing.

More pictures!

I also agree about the look of the polish on the 1JZ/2JZ.

Polished parts do look great.....but they are alot of work to maintain. You may want to consider powdercoating them, or having them chromed.
