Ok so Ive been searching the forum but can't find the answer!! Does any one know how much freon our cars hold. There's no sticker under my hood telling me.
Best to flush the system and switch over to r134.They sell adapters to do it yourself.
that STILL doesn't answer his ? he STILL would need to know how much the system holds so he doesn't overcharge it even if he's putting 134 back into it..... im hoping you not talking about the junkie autozone freon cans as a adaptor, those gauges arent accurate by any means...
BTW OP, i dunno how much the system holds since i no longer have my SC (it should be on the compressor though) INSTEAD of flushing and adding R134a IF u still have R12 in their, TRY R-414B its a direct drop in and runs cooler than R12/R134a. if u have already flushed try it also. i been swearing by it for the last few years its great stuff, we sell alot of it at the HVAC supply house i manage
It's already converted to r-134a. The compressor doesn't have a sticker saying either and apparently chiltons nor Haynes makes a manual for the sc300!! The system has r-134a in it now just wanted to make sure it was fully charged and didn't want to over charge it so I needed to know how much it holds?
