I think we all need to stop comparing our cars to other cars that for some reason, are deemed inferior. I've seen some great civics, camrys, crxs, 240s, etc...
As for painting your emblem a funky color, i've seen an IS300 pull off a splatter painted rear emblem set. It looked sick.
Yeh vinny I know I need wheels!! And yeh kyle I decided to keep it you never answered my text either!
As to everyone against it or comparing me to a civic owner. What's the big deal that I want to be different and not have the same car everyone else has...
My friend painted the emblems on his Supra neon green. The car is red. He also did the brake rotors and various other small pieces throughout the engine bay. I personally thought he was crazy at first but it turned out pretty cool looking. Not so sure about doing it to a Lexus though.
I would love to color match my emblems to my cars DWP- I think that would look ill. My gold was faded so I painted mine gunmetal to match my wheels and it came out nice.
Whatever you do, try to keep it clean, and like someone else said: make sure it ties in to the rest of the car somehow.
Lexus is known for its classy and clean look. Adding "funky" colored emblems is totally against code!!! Keep it clean, Go with Blakc, chrome, or gold emblems broski.
If you really like the look of the SC but want to do this sort of stuff to it, you should've bought a Nissan 240sx. See the quote I got from a 240 forum in my sig for reference
I thought about doing a mother of pearl look, or maybe multi colored titanium look. You could also do wome kind of a stone look. granite or marble.. Just some ideas..
