Default sc300 nitrous? info anyone??

Can any one give me any feedback about running a nitrous kit on my 99 SC300? any suggestions?

You should be able to use anything up to a 100hp setup without any problems. That motor is pretty strong on the bottom end and can take quite a bit if abuse without flinching...

yeah strong block..try to run a wet system with extra fuel pump, if you want to go 100 hp ..better to be on the safe side, than have a blown engine...usually you can add up to 50% of wat the factory hp is. for example..if your car is 100hp, i would only go as high as a 50 shot..thats 50% increase in power..
i got a sc400, i run 150 shot with inline fuel pump, and no problems yet,,these lexus/toyota engines are really heavy duty..
just remember that if you set up the nos right, you would never have a problem, and DONT ABUSE the nos. cuz thats how most horror story about nos starts,, give NOS a call, they will be able to answer all your questions, gOod luck. make sure you make post us in on your progress...

just get a wet kit and run a 100shot; you'll be perfectly fine (make sure you retard your timing appropriately)

the extra fuel pump mumbo jumbo doesn't mean a damn thing so just disregard it... the stock fuel pump can flow plenty of fuel for a meager 100hp shot...

and if you ever need to upgrade the fuel pump; don't waste your time with an extra inline pump... just get a MKIV TT Supra pump or Walboro 255lph; they drop right in... plenty of fuel for around 550-600hp or so...

go 100hp with fuel pump. i think someone who works at NOS would know more about a nitous set up than someone who doesnt work there. just give NOS a call. plenty of people ran 100hp. they all say use fuel pump, no fuel = broken engine. better safe then sorry.

A new fuel pump is simply insurance. I've run NOS for years, and only had problems runnning on stock pumps, even for only a 50 shot. An extra $100-$200 to save your motor is soooooo worth it. All it takes is one hiccup, and BANG, your intake falls to pieces under your car. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt (several times).

My advice:

75-100 shot wet kit - drop timing 4 deg. Supra TT pump will do fine.

Additional insurance is going to a step cooler plug.

Fuel pressure switch is also nice, but not required.

GET THE BOTTLE HEATER ! Nuff' said!

For the SC400:
Ignition kits bring NOS alive, but for the 400, you have to get 2 of everthing, and thats not cheap. But if you have the $$ well worth it- besides fuel ecomomy goes up nicely too. You really need an ignition boost over a 100 shot. If not, you'll have a lot of unburnt gas comming out the exhaust - tends to deteoriate the cats and mufflers very quickly.

100hp without the fuel pump has been done before

and who in the **** here works at NOS? like Keith said, the fuel pump is extra insurance...

plus Killerlexus recommended an addition inline pump? uhhh no... stock replacement MKIV pump is perfectly fine

Ive been using Nitrous like it was going out of style for the last year or two in my sc400....Even before all of the upgrades.

nitrous is my best buddy too. kind of a secret weapon, to throw people off, you should spray paint all nitrous parts and hoses black. that way when you pop the hood, no one will see it unless they look very closely, you will make alot of money this way.
