Default Headlight Woes

So I have a '2k sc300 and have always been disappointed with the lighting. There is no yellowing on the covers and Ive tried both PIAA replacement bulbs and HID, but the lighting is still dimmer than most cars on the road. My multimeter reads 13.4v at the low beam connector on both sides, so what gives? My adjustments are based on the level and left/right adjusters and both are at "0". Can both lens be that bad? Any input is appreciated..

TIA

When u put the hids in. I bet you put the bulbs in the wrong way. I did that in my 350z and the light output sucked so i twisted them and it turned out amazing

Yes, you have to align the bulbs properly in the housing or else they will look all lop sided. If HID were not bright enough for you and they were in there properly you're screwed and/or blind.

No, our SC's projectors are outdated by today's standard. The only real solution is to retrofit your SC with modern projectors such as TSX or many other available options found. Google retrofit and learn about glorious world of retrofitting.
