Maintenence before I move
I'm making a big move (Nebraska to Arizona..like 1200 miles, 19ish hours) in late September and while I trust my car to make it down there, I'd feel better with a tune-up. My question is, what sort of things should I do before I move? It runs great 95 percent of the time..some days though it will idle low or stall but its pretty rare. Sometimes it gets reaaaaaaaall hot though. I deliver for Jimmy Johns and it was an 90 degree day and I left my car on for like 20 minutes and it was overheating.
It's a 1995 SC300 automatic with 137k miles on it.
The previous owner was Markel BMW Mercedes Lexus and I think Porsche's owner's wife so it was taken care of..but she sold it to the dealer I bought it from with 102k miles on it and I've put on 35k. This is what I think I should probably do.
Oil Change (obviously)
Coolant flush
Spark plugs
clean the MAF
Struts and Springs
Rotors and Pads
But I also have a bunch of oil on the undercarriage of my car too, but I have no clue where its coming from.

I have the same issues my friend. From what I gathered from my thread...run a code scanner even if you don't have a CEL light, but yes, you should definitely do a tune up. You probably have a leak from any numerous places...valve covers, o'ring, RMS, etc.
Do everything you mentioned IMO. If your car is overheating source the problem. Replace your thermostat if you have not done that yet, it can save you a big headache in the future. Sometimes you can get obstructions in your cooling system and it will cause your car to have intermittent heating issues. You can do a full flush and hope that your problem is solved or do a check on the whole system. Make sure your water pump is good, try wiggling the pulley to see if there is any play. Are you running the stock shroud?
Definitely check your tire pressure and have a spare handy, that can save you a lot of time/money. Replace your wires, plugs, distributor cap and rotor...make sure your plugs are gapped correctly.
There are a millions things you 'can' do but probably are not necessary. I would start with the essential maintenance and go from there, though.
