"92 SC400, gives me a code 13...it is not the belt or the ECU, so I am going for the ENGINE SPEED SENSOR......I was putting in a new coil and moved a plug that was under the distributor while removing the cover and the engine light came on after that. I went back to check all the wires and plugs and found this grey plug that comes from some type of sensor located on the lower left front side of the engine below the distributor had both wires totally peeled clean...I taped the wires and still get the Code 13.
Is this the Engine Speed Sensor?
The local part places do not even show it in their computers, searched FleaBay and the only speed sensors that they show is transmission and wheels (brakes).
Is there a part number to this sensor?
I am going to get this thing running right or it is going to kill me.
Mitchell shows it in the diagram as Engine Speed Sensor, it has 2 wires (1 yellow and 1 white), but I can not find a part number for it and I am not really looking to visit the dealer to get raped.
I'm hoping to find it else where, but w/o a part number it is not working out.
Thanks.
