Hot around the E-Brake and shifter...
I was wondering if this is a common problem or not but when I drive my SC400 for more than half an hour or so it starts getting hot. Like near the lights for the P, R, N, and D
I was thinking it was maybe the Bulb's under that panel?

a little insulation could really help this problem i think. my plan which is just 1 in a thousand plans for my car is to pull the interior and lay down a layer of stinger roadkill mat. and then a high quality carpet pad as well. i think it will make a world of difference especially here in texas where every degree counts.and anyone who is pulling there engine in the near future would have a great chance to do sound deadener on the firewall and perhaps a thin alloy heat shield over the tranny. we have the technology!
