I just ordered a set of prothane front lca bushings mysel, they're still on their way but it seems they just pop in once the old bushings are out. I'll post a pic when I get em/change em.

ok i bought prothane kit upper and lower control arm bushing kit from jeggs. it comes with all bushings for the front upper and lower control arms. it has, dont know the exact name, these long metal washers where the screws pass thru for the upper. the kit does not bring these washers for the lowers. Also the kit does NOT come with the metal barrel (cup) that the bushing goes into before going into the lower control arm.

my mechanic took the arms to a machine shop to have the bushings press out, and on the lower controll arm they bent the little metal barrel (cup). what do i do....lol
The Long metal washer you are suppose to use the 1 from the old bushing,as far as the cup goes i left mine in there and it was pretty snugg with the new bushing.............didnt you get the little paper with the instruction in ur box.......also if you need a sleeve i have one from my old arm so let me know.

You definitely need the stock sleeve. If I'm not mistaken, the proper way to remove the old bushing from the sleeve it to apply heat and then press it out.

Youve been had. As just said, people who have done bushings find fire is the best treatment.

I bought the prothane bushings about a year back and found that one side had been replaced with a third party bushing. It believe it is the type available from an Australian soarer parts site. My other LCA is missing the cup and is totally fubared for replacement. Best bet is to buy new control arms since I can't use the prothane ones.

or ur second option is to buy the kit from daizen... there is a part number that comes with everything. sleeves, washers, bushings... its like 150 i think but its worth it. also expect to wait because its always on back order. gl
