Behind the upper(back section) part of the rear seat. Remove the seats and you will see a round cover, remove that and the rest is easy.

I take it you missed my post....

Step one: Remove seats. Lower section simply pops out. Back section has 3-12mm bolts (IIRC they are 12..), remove bolts, push seat in an upward direction to unseat tabs, pull forward and out.

Step Two: Look for the fuel pump cover that covers the cover...., not sure how to explain that right, but you will see it.

Step Three: remove fuel pump and do what is needed and enjoy the fumes on a hot day while sweating in the back of your SC

You can see the tank from the trunk yes, but the fuel pump can only be accessed through the back seat.

What you see from the trunk is the fuel gauge system, I thought the same until I removed it and saw the fuel pump all the way across the other side of the tank. The job itself was easy to do..Thanks for the information.

jomidan is right there is 2 access points from the trunk one is fuel gauge the other air vent. The pump is a larger hole behind the back seat.
