My friends dad works for holley and he can get me a nos kit for 70% off. I don't think i should pass this offer up. What type of kit should i get and is a 150 shot safe? What all will i need? Will the ecu need programed? Please help me out i'm not too knowledgeable on nos. I appreciate any help!

Thanks,
Neal

P.S. Some fool that i don't even know came out of left field today with his 98 civic si v-tech with a full exhaust and he wants to race me. The fool has been talking some smack which isn't a big deal because nobody likes him. I hear that he likes to pop his clutch around 6000 rmp's which will boof his tranny but anyways that will let him beat me off the line if my car is completley stock. If i race him 1/4 mile with nos i will cream him won't i? I think i need to make this moron sit down for the sake of all sc owners around here who hate punks in civics. also if this goes down there will be a video. I wanna make this kid cry

150 shot may be ok for occasional use depending on how good the condition of the engine is in. Make sure you do all your regular maintenenace stuff before the NOS, and use a dry shot setup. I'd go 75 shot if you have high miles.

None of this from personal experience, but just from what I've read.

Lvangundy: Good advice.

150 into a stock set-up is a bit too much. Stick with a dry 75 if you're not gonna go with a wet set-up.

DlrEctQL, it's nitrous, not nitrus. Ya know, N2O? Laughing gas? Sweet air? Spray? The hit? Juice? Jugo? Squeeze? The bottle? The button? The shot? Neal, you can run a 75 shot all day long, you can actually run a 125-150 shot no problem with a bigger fuel pump, but i'm with Emerald on this one (and she knows her nitrous, boys), play it safe and stick with a mild hit. And run a wet system of course, and get a purge, a warmer, and a press gauge, one or two steps colder plugs with the gap closed up a bit, and if you're smart, you'll upgrade to dual MSD 6A's if you plan to run a big hit, and you'll use a Hobbs fuel pressure switch, and an MSD window switch.

I know, I am just joking. It sounds like a fruit that way.

How do you feal about the NOSzle Direct Port system? Looks cool, but it's expensive and I don't know much about it.

Thing are good bro. My little girl is fantastic. Need to post some pics. Got the stereo all done. Back shelf turned out great and the Dyn 12 sounds fantastic. The new 350Z sure has sparked my curiosity. Could be time to give up the Lex. The freakin exhaust sytems on these cars has got to be restricted, my car just doesn't have the power I think it should. Oh well, should have bought a Supra TT.

clocker, yeah, I was definitely a bottle baby, did very well running cars with hidden systems for awhile, Shane's seen the pics of those, I invented a few tricks and did very well for awhile, but a friend at the time ratted me out after I beat this guy's Stage 3 GN, and some of his guys paid him off to tell them what my setup was, so the word was out and I just ran exposed plate or fogger systems after that, and stopped racing altogether once there wasn't really alot of money to be made anymore, and Guilliani was passing laws that meant they could seize your car or fine you big time for having a bottle, so I sold my car and my motors to a friend for cheap (who took it to Englishtown and yanked the wheels off the ground with no spray and on a little 26x10 MT slick, he's since wrecked it horribly, he never could drive as well as me) and I got out of it for good. That is, until I bought my first T-Type, and with the Buicks I learned the beauty of a turbocharger, also built up a Turbo T-bird with the SVO motor, and I was hooked on boost, but it would take me a month to go through all the cars w/ you, so we'll leave it at that, and i'll post the pics for you sometime. As for juicing the SC4, NOS has a Mustang kit that fits, and if you don't mind a little noise (I would), you can add their chassis-mount aux pump and run bigger jets, you'll definitely want more fuel if you're considering something over a hundred shot, you could always drop in a MKIII Turbo pump. These motors can take a major hit though, just ask Todd Matsubura...........
