Default Gapping question

Hey guys... I just bought some denso platinum TT plugs for my sc400. I searched a little bit on here but couldn't find anything on them. I know our user's manual says gap should be .043, and the platinum TT's I bought are .040. This seems like a pretty small difference... am I good to go or should I gap them to .043??

I would just leave it at that but if you really want to gap it then use the correct spark plug gapper. The standard gapper that you put between the tip and the electrode tends to mess up the tip. The gapper that you need to use looks like this http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog and you can get them at the local parts store for a few bucks

PK20R8 or PK20R11 I think are listed as the proper plugs for the 1uzfe depending on year.
which as far as i remember..
was
.8mm and 1.1mm respectively.. or .032" and .043"
so being in between at 1mm with .040" is not far off when u consider the actual difference..
but theres a reason why they are different.. id recommend to gap it properly or buy the proper spark plugs that come gapped for you to the recommended distance (also to prevent damage from you gapping them urself)
