My Great Build Thread!
Some of the interior and most of the engine work still isn't done yet but its coming along quite nicely.
For some of you who may remember, I made an attempt to turbocharge my 1uz, which worked for about 3 weeks until my welds cracked on my manifold. I am still planning on running a turbo again in the future but I need to learn how to weld better first, and in the meantime work on beefing up and prepping my motor for it.

Some of you had asked me if I would give my verdict on the 4.27 SC300 diff and I am very pleased to say, its amazing. For anyone with a pre vvti sc400 look to make there car quicker on a low budget, this is by far the best way to go. The sc400 should have had this differential to begin with.
Some people had speculated that the 1uz wouldnt get as good of gas mileage with the 4.27 but I can officially report that, believe it or not, my sc4 is actually getting better gas mileage. For proof, I just reset my tripometer yesterday when I filled up and will do the math again with pics to show all of you after I burn through this tank. My average mpg's on my last to tanks were 20mpg (mostly city and some hwy) and 27 (almost all hwy). Thats right 27 mpg's highway!
Anyways, heres some pics I took yesterday.

Here's a teaser of something else Im working on, Audi A6 fog light projectors in ES300 housings (DIY coming soon)

. But who cares, its a small sacrifice for huge reward.
My head unit is an Alpine IVA-W505 and my amp is an Alpine MRA-D550 (read here: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MzjA0LS...-MRA-D550.html ). My system is all digital, no rca's except the one going from my processor to my Hifonics 1500w sub amp. The only connection between my head unit and my processor/amp is an AI-Net cable for data and a fiber optic cable for audio.I hate those tail lights too, the reason I have them is a long story. Im hoping to find some 95-96 tails soon (my personal fav) but finding SC parts in good condition in Denver is almost next to impossible. The LED retrofit I did on those aftermarket ones only cost $50 and I only did it so that they'd be somewhat bearable for the time-being.

I didn't know you were adjusting the mileage for that, so I rescind my comment. Most people only take into account that the speedo is off, and not the odometer too
