single muffler FTW!

 

spool thanks for the diagram it really helps to know what factory looks like... i might go 1muffler i heard it was done at a professional shop to be straight and be more power then 2 muffs?

 

damn still runs strong with that many miles? wtf u running on that beast to be puttin out 444 horses? u on a 1j or 2j?

 

i had a 1jz t78 with dual 3.5 piping with hks hi power mufflers.
stupid loud.

 

stock n/a 2jz w/ tt head gasket and arp head studs. that's on my old Turbonetics 60-1 @ 15 psi, should be making a little more now w/ the new t67.

 

SINGLE all the way back to an hks muffler, hipower series, carbon, or ti, or regular. IT SOUNDS LIKE MAGIC in the bedroom.

 

But you are running a pretty restrictive 3" piping.
With two mufflers you can run 4" piping to dual 3" piping.
That is approximately an 80% increase in flow.

 

That's really impressive considering it's at 15psi and on an older styled compressor wheel, not to mention the mileage!

 

I would advise going double, better sound, better looks.

 

i would recommend single. i have one and i think it sounds, and looks great, and weighs less. but id never get one if i didn't have the cap to fill in the hole that is made for a double. i think it looks too ricey is you don't get a cover.
