Usually, an engine recirculates exhaust gas by piping it from the exhaust manifold to the inlet manifold. This design is called external EGR. A control valve (EGR Valve) within the circuit regulates and times the gas flow. Some engines incorporate a camshaft with relatively large overlap during which both the intake valve and the exhaust valve are open, thus trapping exhaust gas within the cylinder by not fully expelling it during the exhaust stroke
The regular 1JZ has neither.
Catalytic converters reduce NOx post-combustion. Equipping both cats from the 2JZ-GE onto the 1JZ-GTE might allow passing the emission test(s) depending on their stringency.

Du werke thanks man. But Accountx2 so if I were to install A high flow maganaflow cat or something like that it would help keep the NOx down? Becuase right now im running stock size piping with no cats and stock mufflers... Oh and stock boost.

Catalytic Convertors come in two different types. Two-way and three-way. Only the Three-way reduces NOx.
The issue with magnaflow and high-flow cats is two fold. First in order to flow better they use less material. Second the catalyst is usually platinum. A Magnaflow cat just isn't going to be the same quality as a Toyota cat.
The SC300 from my research uses two three-way cats. One in the header and one in the downpipe.
Both fitted on a 1JZ will lower NOx but it very well may be for not. It'll all depend on the legal limit. The best option to pass the sniffer test is going to a 1JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GTE VVT-i engine.

This is all great info. I was kinda worried about if my 1JZ will pass the OBD1 sniffer test when I move back into Austin.
So I googled it and whoa...rediculous amount of info. Read this

It depends on what part of GA your moving to. The county where my car is registered doesn't do emissions.

I recently had emissions test requirement come up after moving. I stressed for 2 years about it. In preparation, I had PPE Engineering throw on a high flow Magnaflow cat, pulled off the BOV and wished for the best.
Well, the car passed with flying colors. It wasn't even close! I am not surprised at your results. These JDM JZ motors are quite clean.
