SC300 1jz swap emissions results in Texas

So I went today thinking I may have an issue with my emissions results. Well turns out the car passes with no problems.

Just thought I would post up the results if anyone was wondering. A stock swapped 1JZGTE will pass no problem.

Let me know if there are any weird numbers that you see. If you do see some tell me what could possibly cause it and what I can do to fix it if it is a problem.

Looks ok, but the low speed emission results says 500rpm...mine use to stick around 750 before the various throttle sensors went to hell. Is idle at 500rpm normal for a 1jz?

Good question but i really dunno the answer.

Idle is about 750-800 rpm on a stock 1jz.

1JZ swapped in a ES300? Texas doesnt do a visual and function test? Looks like they tested it TSI(Two Speed Idle test) test where they didnt put a load on it to test NOx.

Here in CA, in Enhanced area(highly populated areas) we run loaded tests on a dynamometer if your vehilce is 2WD. This test simulates vehicles driving on roads and checks for NOxs which is a pollutant that causes smog.

All the swapped 1JZs that I sniff on the analyzer comes out LEAN and NOxs are sky high. I would think oppisite cause the car has poor gas mileage and smells rich.

I didn't think JDM engines could pass emissions? There was a topic about it once and everyone said a JDM 1JZ/2JZ SC couldn't pass emissions.

That's good to see you passed with no trouble.

Lol i just noticed the he put that. I have no badges onthe car so he just didnt know what it was.

My car has the stock sc300 cat and exhaust. It does how ever have magnaflow mufflers and that is it. I have no mods to the motor other than one intercooler hard pipe and Apexi BOV. I really wanted people to see the results if a stock emissions test. This can help everyone to realize that these cars are capable in stock for of passing.

I attempted to get my tested and that's exactly why I failed.

Wow that is crazy. Do you have the numbers from when you passed. As a comparison?

I had to buy a new cat to pass in colorado. I tried everything i could think of before i bought the new cat. Should have just got that first, that is the ultimate key in order to pass within a state with strict emissions.

Since my SC is 92 they just used a sniffer.

And everything passed fine but my NOx was through the ROOF.
