Default sc400 starting problem????

i just bought my car last month its been sitting in my driveway because i don't have the tag yet i normally start it everyday to make sure the car is OK....today i went to start it and it started walked away for about 15 to 30 min went back to start it and move it so i can wash my moms car... i put the key in there is power and every thing the dash lights comes on gas meter works but when you crank it all you hear is a click it doesn't turnover or nothing i am not sure if it the starter, or the alternator.. when you put the key in all the way all the lights go away except the battery light......

I have a similar problem. Mine ran fine for about a month and then stopped getting power. Is ur click loud or hardly noticeable? Mine doesn't click at all except for the starter relay but that's hardly noticeable. If you can hear the click very loud, and u can jump start it, then its definitely ur alternator.

yea i jump started it i think its the alternator but normally if its the alternator the battery light comes on and mine didn't come so some times its not always the alternator i just need a new battery just to be on the safe side i might just change it anyway

Well one shouldn't always go by what's on ur cluster lights since our cars are not exactly new. If u always die out at idle but never when ur rolling, definitely an alternator issue. Any auto part store could check both for u. Hope all goes well with that.
