Default Tire Stretching!

I've read the tire thread, but i'd like an upfront response. What tires would I need for a stretched 18x8.5; low profile of course.

22540/18,235/40/18,245/40/18 is generally what normally fits on an 8.5

a 215/35/18 or 205(if they make these)

why would you stretch an 8.5 inch? 8.5 inches arent wide already you downsizing the grip to like 6 or 7 inches(honda level lol)

8.5 is pretty narrow as it is. I dont see a reason for stretching on a 8.5

I agree.

If you still want a stretched tire, 205/40/18's or 215/40/18 will work.

Upfront response: get wider than 8.5 for proper stretched look. Especially on 18's, 8.5 with streched tires looks pretty weak.

To answer the question a 215/40/18 will work, apparently nankang offers a 205/40/18 now, which they didnt have when I had 18x8.5's on my VW. Either one will give you some sort of stretch, but the brand/model tire will really decide how much stretch you actually end up with.

Would I bother stretching a tire on a 8.5 on these cars, absolutely not.

This is exactly how I want mine to look; I know 8.5 is really narrow but with a little bit of stretch it should be fine. I actually want this exact set up lol but different color schemes and rims. Thanks guys =) and I will definitely rethink about it a couple times but I'm almost set on ^ that look. I have 32 offset; what do you have?

^, You're looking at around a 20 offset on a 8.5" wheel for that look.

Damn, so what would a 32 offset look like? Also, what if I get spacers?

Btw SChema I'm buying a set of ksport coilovers for about 700 =). Patience wins lol
