I'm in the process of doing a 2jzgte swap and I'm aiming for around 500whp. I know the SC400 driveshaft won't cut it, so I want to get an aluminum 1 piece made. I contacted the driveshaft shop, and they need to know what the exact dimensions are. Does anyone know what the length it should be or where I can get one that already fits? It doesn't necessarily have to be aluminum. Thanks!
I was a little surprised that driveshaftshop.com needed me to go measure the driveshaft. The motor set isn't in the car so I will have to wait to order it until everything is installed. Not a huge deal, just hoped I could get it before needing it.
I can measure mine when the weather clears, assuming its an r154 swap. I was pretty frustrated when i found out my shop found a mustang aluminum 3" driveshaft from the junk yard and charged 500 bucks to cut it down. i could have saved alot of money knowing that. Contact Driftmotion and get the 1310 slip yoke, aluminum adapter that rids the rubber and probably the 1350 yoke that bolts to it the adapter. Hopefully with this info you can get it built for under 650 bucks
Hmmm... I didn't realize the stock would hold that much power. We're talking about the SC400 shaft, right? And I'm sure it would be significantly cheaper. And MidloSC, thank you, It seems like DriftMotion may be a better option since their focus is more in our car's area.
most driveshaft place unless they deal with a specific car a lot, need you to send in the dimensions, they dont know what your building, so you have to tell them.
