Question Wheel & Fitment

Hello all, I am considering upgrading my wheels. I am considering 19's or 20's in the katana wheels Kr12-19 or 20. I've check with 2 custom wheels company, but they are giving me to different tire size. Tire Rack is giving me 245/30-20, and another company is giving 245/35/r20 - 255/35/r20. Which ones will work without a lot of road noise and rubbing. As of now, I do not intend on dropping my car as of yet. But I do really need some help!!! I am ready to start some mods to my SC400.. Thanx guys!!!

For 19's you want 245/35. O/D: 25.8
For 20's you want 245/30. O/D: 25.8
Factory: O/D: 25.7

Those two sizes will maintain the overall diameter; therefore, your speedometer will read correctly. I'm am going off of 8.5 inch width with those suggestions, you'll need to post more information.

As far as rubbing, the 255 will have a greater chance of rubbing compared to the 245 with respect to the same aspect ratio. Rubbing will depending on your offset however, posting those will give us a better idea of how much tire you can put on the wheels. Road noise is going to depend on tire brand and type not the width.

For those offsets you can easily get away with 245/30 and 265/30 on stock fenders. The rears will be a tad larger in diameter but you'll be okay.

I'm running 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 tires on my 19" and have no issues.

Fronts are 19" x 8.5" with a 38 offset
Rears are 19" x 9.5" with a 45 offset

Ok thanx, schema and ScRob!!!! I am kinda leaning towards the 20's, I just hope that I have no issues out of them with the correct settings. With the 245/35's front(maybe) and the 265/30's rears... Or be best just to stick with one size all the way around. Now this car is my daily commute vehicle. Let me know,,,,
