Well i want to build my sc for show. I was just thinking about this after coming back from the meet yesterday but it would be a slow build. For now all the car has is BC Coilovers and hids
am looking to do the vertex or shine body kit and carbon hood

I'd do wide body vertex ridge for an SC show car. But Auto Couture will suffice for sure! if done extremely well if not done so well, Auto Couture is the cats pajamas.
If you're showing your car, you don't want to go fake, buy authentic kit and hold your head high

I agree. For the people saying "go authentic"...maybe that's true in some cases on engine and performance parts, but as far as the body goes, they're not gonna be pulling off bumpers to see the sticker on the inner side that states the part's authenticity. As long as it fits perfect, and the overall look of the car doesn't look like a 4 year old designed it, you WILL have a good chance at winning something.
get a nicely fitted kit, new paint, drop it on a nice set of properly fitted wheels and have a clean interior. if ur looking to enter the car into some big shows then ud need a lot more than that and keep it as a weekend car but this will do for meets and small shows.
like stated above, a daily driven show car isnt the best idea becuase of the wear and tear/ damage.
^ this.. show cars shouldnt be put into the conditions of daily drivers... too much damage to all your $$$ and details that will give you show points.
some what true i drive the shiyt outta my car everyday... but its cleaned and waxed regularly...

you nailed it... local shows= no real comp... national shows= theres a lot more competition and people with money. BUT....at all car shows there are classes that you have to enter (ex: best 90's production, best 80's production, best overall....etc) depending on what your going for you could always win. just check the competition....also no ones really mentioned it but ill bring it up... most car shows you have to pay registration fees (25$-50)to enter your car...so if its not up to par just save your money....
Btw authentic Auto Couture isn't that much more expensive
I think AC is at least a grand more than Shine, Shine is like near 1500 with shipping and AC is probably retail at 2500 + cost of shipping.
People who said go authentic, they just want to "Stop the copy" and support Japan. Cause if you buy rep for alot less, japan will just stop making production because no one will buy from them.
