^ It also keeps the idle from dropping when you turn the wheel.

ughhhhh
75% of mechanics are scumbag pieces of ****........ They are lazy as hell take forever and lie like theres no tomarrow...Ive built a motor from a bare block and put it into a shell changed fuel pumps, rack and pinions, knuckles coilovers, done wiring harnesses, clutches, master cylinders brake and clutch, slaves, installed headunits, subwoofers etc....But nowadays I have no time anymore. I work 6 days a week and im a cook so I cant have oil under my nails anymore. So when something breaks i take it to a shop and when i hear the prices and the absolute bull**** they feel me i get SICK i just sit there and listen then walk the **** out! And end up doin it myself......sorry for the rant but im sure alot of you feel the same way!!!

I just replaced my VC gaskets using the lexls guide. Its not the worst thing I've ever done, but a moderate hassle. Looking back I shouldve just kept taking the motor apart and done the timing belt and water pump too.

Quote: The upper pan wasn't the problem. It was the valve covers and front seal.

800$ to fix front seal, valve cover gaskets, Thermostat gasket, and A/C at new shop.

02 Sensors and PS line will be done by me.

thats good, its a pretty big hassle to get that damn thing off, took me roughly 3 days of on off work with hand tools and a breaker bar

gl to your fix, get a diagram and ry it your self

the 1uz looks pretty intimidating but after removing pretty much everything except the engine from the car its not that bad
