2 Step on stock twins?
As the title says, im wonering if anyone is using a 2 step on the 1JZ stock twins and if so what brand are you using.
I was thinking of getting the rush racing 2 step but ive only seen people use 2 steps with aftermarket turbo set ups.

How much faster do you want those to spool?
Rush Racing has been around for a while now and probably the cheapest way to go; there's another one out there, can't remember the name. Factory or aftermarket, 2-step kills turbos.

I should rephrase "killing turbo". What I should have said was "two-stepping" will shorten the life of the drive-train in relation to the amount of times it's used.
From the sounds of it, you like it a lot. Therefore, you may be using it quite often, lol.

Haha ya true.
Its kinda weird how ive never seen anyone using a 2 step on stock twins though, maybe cause there fragile but i see subies and evos use 2 steps all the time on there stock turbo.
Anyone out there can chime in if they got a stock twins 1jz with a 2 step?

Two-step allows the user to set a secondary rev limiter, (Two-Step Rev Limiter). Setting a lower limiter allows the driver to floor the throttle to say 5000 rpm and it will stay there without revving above it. What happens is this puts a load on the motor; therefore allows the turbo to build boost from a standstill.
You guys should check out anti-lags while you're at it. This really kills turbos and does it quick. Under certain anti-lag set-ups, full boost is achievable from a dig.

2 step with with timing being pulled will spool any turbo but shortens turbo life esp stock twin which are just peashooters now if you run standalone and can control timing in those load columns and set it to a softer 2step it should last forever.
Anyone know this guy?

Its just an ignition cut redline, hence why his car was puffing black smoke. It works alot better on Nissans where it will actually pop fireballs. I have one on both my RB25 S13 and Sr20 S13. Its neat. Like everyone said you will cook turbos and gaskets like crazy.
